A driving experience especially designed
exclusively for 13+ persons who want to experience the skill of driving in a

controlled and safe environment and learn basic safety before the bad habits set
in.
What is involved?
Basic car control techniques.
Demonstrates how it feels as a driver or passenger.
How to safely exit the vehicle.
Wheel changing - we also discuss vehicles with fun flat tyres.
Driving challenges - great fun!
All tuition is professionally provided in a fun and informative manner.
Basic car control techniques
This opening session will explain the various controls, how they work and how to
operate them in safety and to their best effect:
Clutch
Gear Changing
Driving Position
Hill Starts
Vehicle Roll-Over Demonstration This brilliant roll-over simulator is the only one of its kind in the country!
An Audi A4 fitted to a hydraulic platform which can simulate a 90 degree and 180
degree roll-over which demonstrates how it would feel if you were a driver or
passenger involved in a less than desirable incident. We will show you the effects of:
Being suspended by your seat belt
How to release yourself or other passengers
How to exit the vehicle.
After this demonstration, you or your friends will never travel in a car without
a seat belt on!
Vehicle Safety Checks Equally important for a driver is to know what they should check to ensure the
continuing safe operation of their vehicle and how to identify when something is
wrong. We will explain what you should look for and what you should do about any
problem areas you find.
Checks will include:
Oil level and location of Filler Cap
Brake and Clutch fluid
Engine Coolant Levels
Windscreen Washer Bottle
Power Steering Fluid levels
Tyre Pressures and Tread Depth / Side Wall Damage
Lights / Bulbs etc.
These simple regular checks will prevent most breakdowns and keep you on your
way.
Wheel Changing Most drivers have no practical knowledge of how to change a wheel and often take
unnecessary risks in doing so. We will demonstrate how to protect yourself from
the risk of collision, how to secure the car and change a wheel in safety and in
half the time you think it will take! We also discuss vehicles with fun flat
tyres.
Driving Challenges Now that you have
'mastered' all the skills required to be a driver, let's see
what you can do around the track. This section will test you control skills and
those of the other drivers. (Watch them from the tower........) Here, we will
negotiate a series of traffic cones placed on the track from several directions
and the objective is NOT to hit them. We will then have a reversing exercise
with the parking space becoming smaller all the time. For each cone struck, you
will be given a ‘penalty point’ and the drivers with the lowest number of points
win!
